The DWI group was established in 1991 and is primarily active in the development of commercial real estate. The activities range from the acquisition of real property, the planning and realization of new projects as well as the refurbishment of existing office buildings, including the leasing of such objects to tenants, to the sale of completed projects to private and institional investors.

The group consists of the DWI Grundbesitz GmbH as the operational unit with 15 employees an several project companies, each of wich serves as the owner of the respective project.

Prominent recent activities include the Astra Turm in Hamburg, the Asset Mangagement Center of DWS (Deutsche Bank-Group) in Frankfurt, the „Holzhauser-Markt“-Center in Berlin and the elbberg campus @Itona-project in Hamburg, which ist located close to the award-winning office building „Lofthaus am Elbberg“ which was developed by the DWI Group as well.
